Otis sure sounds good!!! Considering he is AI……
This is just another in the long list of fakes that is being generated thru the use of AI
I submitted one of these to Stefan Grossman’s forum and Stefan quickly pointed out that songs on the old 78 RPM records wasn’t 4-5 minutes long and the style of playing didn’t exist in 30s & 40 that was on the AI tunes-

Interesting, isn’t it? Bandcamp says: “Caveat Emptor. Human-written. AI performed. Fictional artist. Real music.” There was a real Otis Lee Booker, but he was born in 1962 and is now dead. This song is getting quite popular, and I reckon all royalties should go to the family of the real Otis Lee Booker. The song was released by a company called Dumpster Grooves, which is in the business of creating authentic-sounding early blues music using AI. They did a good job.

My first thought was this must be fake. My clue was the reverb. I doubted they could record with that kind of reverb back then. Sad that you have to approach everything with cynicism and doubt.

When I first saw this posting from Steve I thought the name of Otis Lee Booker looked decidedly suspect. Then I remembered John Lee Hooker recorded a number of songs under pseudonyms, which evidently wasn’t uncommon among the blues players in those days.

Let’s hear some genuine blues that thére is no doubt about.
Always appreciated the musicianship seen in this video – using his pocket knife as a slide and a huge bandage on another finger if his picking hand
