I’ve been seeing this guy on Youtube for a while now, never paid much attention to him. Then I watched a few of his videos and I see that he must be taking inspiration from Bob Dylan. Often he shoots his videos where he is just standing in the middle of a field somewhere playing his guitar and singing. But he seems to be a rising star, as he gets more and more attention and his venues become more commercial with larger crowds. I’m pretty sure I’m the only person in New Zealand who has ever heard of him. Have you?

It sounds like he already met the devil.

Go slow and practice correct technique, and your abilities will dramatically improve.

I’ve been watching some of his videos. He’s quite a poignant lyricist with a definite political point of view.

Thinking back, I guess Bob Dylan’s early stuff was mostly political. There was a huge anti-establish movement that he was singing to.

Reminds me of the troubadors from the 60’s including Dylan. Lots of lyrics, good strumming and harmonica. Songs that get ya thinkin a bit. That’s a first listen for me Steve.

Yep. Been saying this for a while now, he’s this generation’s Dylan, Seeger, Guthrie. Such a talent for writing songs. He’s got a great non-political song about Guitars that I posted here a couple months back. Glad to see Jesse getting lots of attention lately with appearances on high profile awards, late night shows, and exploding YT subscriptions. We need his voice now.
