Here’s a fascinating video about the music retailer Thomann—from its humble beginnings on a farm in a village of 180 residents to its current status as the market leader.

The story is vividly presented by one of the founder’s daughters, featuring many original artifacts in the company’s own small museum.
The love of music and the down-to-earth business ethos have endured to this day.

Unfortunately, the video is only in German, but with subtitles (youtube), it’s understandable for everyone.

Incidentally, Thomann—like many others—was sued by Fender for allegedly using the Strat design illegally. In response, Thomann has since filed a very well-founded counterclaim against Fender.
