I’ve been listening to this dynamic version of the classic Muddy Waters song ‘You Can’t Lose What Ain’t Never Had’
This blues number has always been top of my favourites list but watching this rendition played on a ‘Classical Guitar’ takes it to a different level. This nylon stringed instrument is not normally used to play the blues but I believe this vigorous and powerful version sets new boundaries from my original perception.I might be looking to get a new guitar!

If we can be expecting you to play this when you pop around to my place, Richard, I’m gonna start selling tickets now 😂😂😂
That was truly mesmerising. Awesome is an overused word these days, but that really was! 👍🎶😎

What a terrific rendition! I would never have expected the blues to sound so good on a nylon string instrument.

That was an excellent cover of a Muddy Waters tune. Not only an impressive performance of the the blues but I think it sounds great on a classical guitar too. I love both the tone and dynamics.
Look forward to seeing your version on your new classical guitar.😊
Thanks for sharing Richard. -

Very inspiring! Not the first time I hear the blues played on a nylon string guitar, I remember the first time in a theatre many years ago and it was mesmerizing!

That was great Richard! That guy does an amazing job on Etta James’ “I’d Rather Go Blind” also. The bends seem close to effortless.

Inspiring stuff Mike, I’ve always enjoyed the roughness of I’d Rather Go Blind, Beth Hart does a damn good version.
I’ll have to give this one some time on my Martin, see if I can make anything of it.Richard

I absolutely LOVE blues played on a nylon guitar!!! This is what got me into playing guitar in the first place – the sound of nylon strings! I think every guitar player should have a classical style guitar, so yes, Richard, you should get one! Thank you for bringing this YT channel to our attention, it is a treat to listen to!

Great find Richard. Doesn’t Clapton play a nylon stung acoustic on some of his recordings?

I am just finding this… I love this! As smooth as silk. Something I would love to embrace and maybe learn. I could listen to this piece all day. Sounds a bit like Tennessee Whiskey.

Simply unbelievable Richard. I have a decent classical that I haven’t touch in a while. Action is way too high. This is a great find.
