Good morning. This is one of my favorite AM lessons that demonstrates how to embellish a simple chord progression. Enjoy.

I haven’t played on my porch in a while. It’s too darn hot out there. Nice acoustic jam session John.

Go slow and practice correct technique, and your abilities will dramatically improve.

Beautiful acoustic playing – really a joy to listen to!

Thats nice work John. Its the sort of thing that’s nice to play for friends around a Bbq on a hot day with beers and a few laughs. I enjoyed listening 😊.

By the way, you mentioned that you are working on a repertoire of songs. How’s that going? Its something I try to do with my classical playing but I have only been able memorize about 3 pieces. Really tough to do 🤔

I have a repertoire of about 45 tunes. Most of which are traditional, Carter Style, 12-15 of Brian’s, flat-picking, fingerpicking, ragtime blues, country blues sort of stuff. Memorizing them hasn’t been a problem however, if I lay off of it for some time it takes a bit to relearn them and get them back up to speed. I find that going out and busking or jammin’ with someone helps keep most everything prepared and ready.
