i am trying to decide purchasing an american special strat or an american standard, having a hard time deciding . anybody that can shed some light on the two would be great thanks
Hey Tom,
things have been slow around here, and “end of summer” thing maybe.
I haven’t owned either (or even a Fender) but the american special strat is getting good reviews, a lot of people are mentioning playability.
Here is one review
Here is another
I suggest playing both models to see which one has the better tone and feels right in your hands. Once you’ve decided on which model, play as many of those as you can and pick the best sounding one.
Just curious, what makes you want a strat? Have you checked out the artist series? I played a Clapton model and was really impressed as far as strats go.
thanks bluesify and darby on your input on my strat decision.
