I learned a lesson with some fast parts and could play it at 100% tempo using soundslice. But the actual lesson was faster and I couldn’t play it.
This is nothing new to me. The question I have is this; is there a consistant difference between the lesson tempo and soundslice tempo, or does it vary from lesson to lesson?
Richard,
100% Soundslice is usually the tempo of the slow video. You will usually have to go 120-140% for the lesson tempo.
John
I think John has it right but in some of the slower pieces Brian has put out you will find that from time to time 100 is the speed ……. I have an idea something might have changed it could be Soundslice itself or down the line this may not be correct but you might bump into it some place in previous lessons.
It would be good if Brian actually advertised the various tempos that he sets the various video bits to. And Soundslice would benefit from a BPM display.

I learned a lesson some time ago where the soundslice at 120% matched the MP3 tempo, but that doesn’t seem consistent in all lessons.
Brian actually stated in a thread, some time ago, that the audio for Soundslice comes from the slow video and 100% is that tempo. I guess it only comes close to the lesson if the lesson is particularly slow but the lesson can definitely be much faster.
John
Thanks John. I guess I rarely use the slow video.
