Well, two things came to mind when I thought about “emotion”, Gary Moore and BB King’s “Thrill is Gone”!

Gary has the wonderful big bends that sustain wonderfully and sound like a crying guitar to me; and BB just has that amazing emotional melody. So here’s my attempt at pulling those ideas into an emotional piece.

Fun fact: the rhythm guitar is me while the bass and drums are midi virtual instruments – my first attempt at using this sort of setup and think it turned out ok!

        Enjoy…

Wow, that sounded awesome! Love that guitar rhythm. Great emotional bluesy solo with tasty licks. I could hear these influences of the guitar masters.
I also like the addition of the virtual instruments. It turned out more than ok.
Why did it have to end after 1:22???????!!!!

            Hi Wilfried,
There is nothing like a slow blues to conjure up emotion ! BB King and Gary Moore were masters at this. Great selection and played like a pro 🎶🎵🙂

Certainly more than OK. That was a real cracker and could (should) have gone on for much longer. Both guitar parts were perfect – a great submission.

I hear you sayin’ something! Very expressive and fluent. Nicely done WPB-you evoked that ‘stab in the soul’ feeling like an attentive blues player should. Your submissions are always well thought out, performed and to the point. Great job!

Pro level stuff. I think it’s time for you to join a band or start one.

Nice slow blues , love the dynamics and those bends are perfectly executed with the subtle vibrato.
Excellent submission which portrays the emotive nature of this style.

The blues is a shoe in for emotions and you nailed that. Really emotive playing, The bends were spot on and you sprinkled in a fair number of classic licks. What did you use for the virtual instruments, particularly the bass? Was it in the DAW or a third party plug in? I’m used to hearing good quality drums but good bass less so.

You’re right—there’s a lot of emotion in this music. But you also have to be able to convey it through your instrument. And you’ve definitely succeeded in doing that.
