I chose the “Chill” genre of music, since it looks like the world needs to chill out quite a lot these days. It’s basically just background music, kind of boring. I shot videos of me playing the tracks, but they were so boring I figured nobody would want to watch them. So instead, I shot some videos of relaxing places around where I live in New Zealand. Nothing special.

Nothing boring about this composition.
You could have use smaller video of you on top of your video.
Smooth and relaxing.
Well done.AndréM

You live in a beautiful place of the world, Steve. I enjoyed watching and listening. Looks like summer is approaching fast. We have a beautiful autumn here in southern Germany.
The “Chill” definitely came through 😎

Your playing isn’t boring at all! I like your acoustic guitar and how you add different sounds from Logic Pro (I have started to make my own backing tracks from sounds in GarageBand and it’s fun).
The rhythm goes very well with the floating of that beautiful river.
I am sure, this is no AI, it is real nature. I know it because I have been to New Zealand.More Blues!

There’s nothing boring about that Steve. It’s very relaxing music that’s also very inventive. The layers of sound makes a very full composition that I suppose could be described as textured. I can’t really think of the right word to describe that, but it has the quality of the individual layers being heard separately (and sounding good) but also being heard as part of the whole (and sounding even better).

Nothing wrong or boring about a restful melody to accompany restful and pastoral scenes. I enjoyed it Steve.

I agree with the above , not boring at all , you’ve hit the challenge brief perfectly
Creating a serene atmosphere with your composition which compliments the beautiful scenery of your homeland.
The simplicity of this is where it shines .
Well played I enjoyed it . -

Great chill vibes on this for sure Steve. You kept it interesting by passing the tune around to different instruments. Very nice.

Mellow and meditative, Steve – I particularly liked the mix; it made me want to put the headphones on, close my eyes and drift away. – Mark 👍🎶😎

Nicely put together Steve. This is audio/visual eye candy. An all encompassing and enjoyable listen. Are you playing the keys? I like the melodic balance going on here.

Peace and Serenity is what I’m getting from this soundscape. The video of your natural oasis is very calming to look at with your well played musical score.
Root note patterns >>> CAGED shapes >>> TRIAD'S. Just put in the work and watch your guitar skills soar.

I didn’t get ‘boring’ but I did get “tranquility and calm”! I was listening on headphones while doing a bit of painting (as in decorating) and I’m sure it improved my straight edges ✌️. That oscillating drum machine felt like a relaxing heart beat which further enhanced the mood. Nice one

Steve, you must be bored of all that lush greenery.
Beautiful composition and video. You put the parts together so well.
Did you play the piano part?

Yes, I played most of the piano part, but the first short bit was an Apple Loop. The beauty of MIDI keyboard input is that when (not if) I make a mistake, I can open the Editor and change the pitch, length, or location of a bad note.

That was truly a peaceful tune to listen to and sounded like Lori or New Age to me. I loved it. And I disagree with you that the video was nothing special…it was truly beautiful.

Really great chill music, Steve. There’s agonizing boredom and delightful boredom. And your music falls 100% into the second category. Especially with those awesome pictures.
Take the chance to meet your AM friends on Zoom.
The next Meetup will take place on October 31For more information click here
I look forward to meet you.
