I rarely finish these the way they are written. Once I understand the progression and the available notes/licks I usually end it whichever way comes naturally. This is no exception. Hope you like… kind of a catchy tune.

Love it John. That J45 sounds great.
Go slow and practice correct technique, and your abilities will dramatically improve.

Wonderful, John. Melodic, clean and yes, quite catchy. Great tone from the Gibson. Best of the holiday season to you and yours!

Expertly played, John. Congrats on finally getting hold of the J45. I think that’s been on your wish list for a while. Is the guitar your Christmas present?

Thanks John for the positive vibes. Yeah, it’s a Christmas present to myself. It’s about 35 years old so the wood grain is visible even with the black paint. It has some character too. Easy to play and really projects. Merry Christmas to you and yours.

That sounded just great, John! Your Gibby sure is a player – especially in your hands. Good choice on the ragtime, I really love those on an acoustic guitar, and I did like how you made it your own by exploring possibilities (whatever comes naturally!)
Merry Christmas! 🎄🎸 ☃️

Loved your new J45 John, so well suited to the ragtime progression you played. You’re a great combo, I certainty hope to hear more from you both.
🎄Merry Christmas🎄

Wow, John! What a fantastic sound! Not all premium brand guitars sound so crisp and powerful as yours.
Seems you chose a right model. I heard some J200 which does not sound even close to yours.
Your playing is perfect as usual. Great fingerstyle and exact touch of ragtime.Mom say’s: alcohol is your enemy!
God say’s: you must love your enemy!Merry Christmas!

Thanks Meelis,
I do agree the sound is excellent and dynamic. I did use a microphone and sync’ed the audio to the video. I’m sure that helped. However, I did my research and compared the J45 to the Southern Jumbo, Humingbird, Dove, J200-heck I wanted all of them, lol. This J45 projects and shines-where the highs are high and the lows are low. It’s big, has a sloped body and is really easy to play. My Martins have some competition. Merry Christmas!John
