Hey folks, post a picture of you making your pizzas. Guitars and pizza, can’t go wrong with that.
I actually put a bit of red cheddar with some Gouda Cheese. The anchovies made the pizza fly off the plate to fast though. Freshly backyard grown basil was OK. Not sure really what type of basil to plant for pizza toppings though. Got to have them black olives on it too. Also, because we can’t by pepperoni here, I use a Japanese salami thing. Has a biting taste and goes well under the cheese.

It really is all about ”melody”. The melody comes from a language from our heart. Our heart is the muscle in music harmony. The melody is the sweetness that it pumps into our musical thoughts on the fretboard. 🙂 6 stringer Pete

Looks very tasty Pete, but if you eat that one on your own, you’ll have to play more than a few ‘up-tempo’ numbers to work off the calories.🎸

That looks like a damn good pizza, Pete! Here is one I cooked this weekend on my Weber Charcoal grill…
https://photos.app.goo.gl/RP3mKkEatLh4hhWU9
I set the grill up to sort of mimic a brick oven by putting a pizza stone down on the grate, putting all of the charcoal in the back of the grill, and leaving the lid cracked in the front (the grill gets extra hot when you do this). Let the pizza stone heat up a good 30 min or so, then before you put the pizza on, put some wood right on the coals and let it flame up. I used apple for this one mainly because that’s all I had, but use oak a lot also.
I always use this dough recipe…
and use this for the sauce…
just fresh mozzarella and some Parmesan for the cheeses, some left over grilled chicken I had, and some pickled Hungarian wax peppers out of my mother in law’s garden on this one. Came out great!

I make my pizza much like Dave does. I’m a minimalist and don’t pile on a heap of ingredients. The dough, with yeast, proofs overnight in the fridge and the crust has a marvelous flavor.
Thin crust, some home made sauce, and a few simple, fresh ingredients, with fresh herbs; Cooked on a stone, in a kamado grill at 600 degrees. Cooks in about 2 minutes and leaves a slight amount of caramelized crust and cheese. Best pizza I’ve ever had.
I have to admit, yours looks great Pete. -

We make our pizzas on a pizza stone in our Weber grill, but since it’s 6C outside (that’s 42F) we won’t be using our grill for about 4 more months when it gets closer to summer.
