Good morning,
I’m in the market for a 12-fret Parlor guitar, under $1000. Anyone have recommendations?
Thanks in advance.

Thank you. The PRS was on my radar as is the Alvarez MP66.

I noticed that Sweetwater has a 12 fret Breedlove – little different shape than a true parlor which is Breedlove’s proprietary body shape called the Concertina
I’ve never played this particular model but my Breedlove is 2nd to none in its price range. The one at Sweetwater is all solid wood construction -

The Journey Comfort JCP482B for $999
Fender Highway Series Parlor for $999 is the one that I would get if that was my budget. In fact, I’m drooling over it right now.Go slow and practice correct technique, and your abilities will dramatically improve.

A lot of pro-level blues guitarists like the Taylor Baby. Its shorter scale length makes it easier to bend notes, and the volume is better than most full-size guitars. I also have a Journey and an Alvarez, but the Taylor is the one I tend to grab when I feel like sitting around for a self-jam.

I’ll have to try one of those Taylor Baby’s next time I’m in the guitar shop. I think they have a full line of Taylor guitars.
