In 1971, I was 15 years old & was still into The Beatles (even though they’d broken up, we believed they would get back together) & other pop music of the day. Then an Australian band named Chain hit our radio with a song called Black and Blue. The riff just grabbed me & I had to learn how to play it. After that, my music tastes were never the same. I started listening to other blues bands like the early Fleetwood Mac & Cream. I just found this on Youtube & although it’s a terrible video, the audio is still as I remember it. By today’s standards it may not stand up, but it will always be special to me because it got me into the blues. The guitarist is Phil Manning, considered at the time to be Australia’s Eric Clapton.
Cheers
