I spent four months trying to master this blues perfectly. I have to work a bit further on the timing and the intonation and then it will be fine.
Enjoy in the meantime.

That’s performance ready, Luc. Great work. I was admiring your tele and wondering what the heck it was. I found out it’s the Fender Deluxe Nashville with vintage noiseless pick ups (oops, and there it is in your tag). How do you like it? I was looking for that exact colour combo in a strat.

I think you pretty much have this nailed Luc! Played perfectly with attitude. I believe Brian plays these with a pick? I like it better played with the fingers.

Congratulations Luc, that was a great take on some traditional fingerstyle blues and extremely well played on a Strat to boot.

I think your hard work has been paying off man!
That’s a pretty cool post, your playing is nice and your Nashville deluxe is awesome!!! What are you showing us at the end? Is that a mini amp that you plug directly in the guitar?? Seems to be cool!!!
You tell about work on timing, may I suggest you to try it with a metronome, or maybe a drum machine, more fun…Finally it’s a bit off topic but… Your dress shirt!! It is too cool, I love it!

Hey after a second listening, I think you probably have a beat in your ears! I don’t really see time issues, if there are some there aren’t many.
Anyway, you’re a good player!!Rock on'

JohnI like the Nashville very much John, it is the guitar I used most of the time and I do like the ‘optimistic’ color.
I believe Brian plays these with a pick? I like it better played with the fingers.
RobRob I have no choice, I have to play with my fingers because I always lose my picks.

Mathieu, when I tried to play it with a metronome I found out I had some problems. I would like to buy the Trio + band creator, is there someone who has tried it?
We love Muddy in Chicago.
Nice picture Hide
Kind regards

Mathieu,
I forgot to answers your question.

I used the amPlug 2 AC30 headphone amp.
It is the cheapest way to own a ‘real Vox’ 😉I’m quit pleased with the sound. I connected it through a Behringer mixer and USB to lightning connector to my iPhone SE for the video.

super cool blues, definitely caught that Muddy rhythm and feeling, really well articulated, clean but with feeling; your hard work paid off, that’s a super sample of blues playing, well done Luc.
And great tone from that Tele and mini-Vox thing.
congrats on a great achievement -

Well done Luc you have reminded me to get back to this. its a great post by Brian and I was one of those who urged a Muddy post please. Well I was pretty busy at the time and got to doing 214 reasonably well and then didnt pick up 213 as good as I should have done and so when I hear it played again so nicely Im thinking I need to go and revisit the whole and put it together as you have here. I can quite understand that it takes some real dedication to get it up to the fine standard you have demonstrated well done.

Nice one, Luc. Those two are in my permanent repertoire, since by putting them together, you end up with a decent length song. But believe it or not, I’ve never played it on an electric guitar. It gives it quite a different sound, and I’m thinking it needs to have a drum track as a backing track. The drum track would nicely fill those quiet parts where your notes just ring out.

What a super cool blues. You got it to the point with your timing and feeling. You use a great playing technique. Really a pleasure.
Play guitar just like you live; don't get bogged down in theory, it's just a tool without feeling.
