December 23, 2024 – my take on the Charles Brown classic.

        Merry Christmas, Baby!

Bruce, I think you know every blues hook in the book.
You sent me down the YouTube Charles Brown rabbit hole. I watched some great videos of him on tour with Bonnie Raitt.
Merry Christmas to you and your family..

The melody of the notes is what expresses the art of music . 🙂 6stringerPete

It really is all about ”melody”. The melody comes from a language from our heart. Our heart is the muscle in music harmony. The melody is the sweetness that it pumps into our musical thoughts on the fretboard. 🙂 6 stringer Pete

Merry Xmas Bruce! Baby! Great tune and great arrangement for solo guitar.
Charles Brown’s record always makes it on the playlist this time of year. Of course hearing those Johnny and Oscar Moore blues licks makes it all the more great.

                          Hey Bruce.

Never heard of this song before but I enjoyed the heck out of your rendition regardless.

                          Keep up the fight.
