For this month’s challenge, borrow a lick!
Take a well-known lick from any song and use it as your springboard.

In EP636 Brian showed how to construct a Chicago Blues style solo in Bb. So I used the first and second lick as a theme throughout a Quist backing track, Soulful Vintage Blues Backing Track – B Minor | ft. Active Melody!. ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vMNe3IgWiAo )

        Gear used:PRS CE 24
        Fender Super Champ X2 Amp
        MXR Super Badass Distortion Pedal
        UA Volt 246 USB Interface
        Logic Pro 12
        GoPro Hero 12
        Final Cut Pro 12

Way to go Joe, those blues licks are sounding sweet.

Go slow and practice correct technique, and your abilities will dramatically improve.

Very cool, I feel totally entertained! Your phrasing was first class, and so was the recording quality. And I see your video skills are really ramping up. Well played Joe!

Yes, EP636 Chicago has some delicious and classy licks. I like how you incorporated some of them into the Quist track. Very well played.
                      Love that fat tone.

                      More Blues!

Lots to like here, Joe. Great playing and tone and an inventive use of the Quist backing track. The video was something else!
