May 2026 challenge response – Denise & Chetty

Hi AMers

I made this “Borrowed lick(s)” challenge at bit easy for me by taking mostly entire lead parts out
of different Brian’s Chicago Blues lessons and mix them. However, there are 2 borrowed licks from EP636 which
I incorporated into the lead.

The backing track is EP097 Jimmy Rogers style Chicago Blues from which I played the intro and the end of the lesson.

Brian’s Chicago style Blues are really one of my favorite lessons and so fun to play.
And it’s the right style to play with my Chetty (Gretsch 6120).

PS: In my YT video there is marked a “copyright”. YT must have noticed that I copied a lot from Brian.
Hope Brian doesn’t mind…..
