Way to go Alan. You had the same idea I did with posting a screen shot of the repurposed lick. Sounds terrific and perfectly in time.
Go slow and practice correct technique, and your abilities will dramatically improve.

That was really enjoyable Alan – you came up with a great blues. Good choice of lick that you worked in perfectly to your call/response. Your backing track was good and your tone great.

Nice playing Alan. That was a really cool and seamless integration of that lick. You got a great backing track from Band in a Box too.

Yeh, that’s the way to do it Alan! Nice composition, well played. It was interesting hearing how the Band in a Box was dealing with your solo. I’ve never messed around with it. Yet.

Nice work Alan, that lick made an excellent call and a basis for the piece. Very cool blues soloing around it too. And thanks for pasting the tab for the lick in the description. That was a great idea that I wish I’d also thought of 👏

Played to perfection, Alan! Thanks for the visual aid of the lick, it did help with hearing it even better and appreciating what you did. That Band in the Box seems to be a good jam buddy, I guess?

Alan
Sounds so darn good. Love the visual it does help but you play that arrangement like a ringin’ bell. Wonderful presentation. A great groove accompanied by fantastic lead play. I like how you make that lick transferable around the fretboard.John

Great idea, Alan, to turn that lick into a call-and-response. And the rest of what you added to it really ties it all together. Fantastic work.

I think you made the most of this challenge, taking one lick from Brian and adding your own to it. For me it was proof of my progress and I expect you feel the same way.

Catchy tune , good to see the diagram of the lick which puts into context where you used it ,
The call and response theme works really well
Timing was spot on I’m liking those subtle nuances with the rest beats .Martin

Great use of double stops Alan in this nice composition!
If I wasn't making mistakes I wouldn't be the kind of player I want to be. Perfection is dangerous.
