        Greetings Everyone,
In EP363 Brian gave us a finger style blues in E with the coolest turn around ever.
I picked this turn around lick and paired it with the old “ Rolling Stones” song, “ It’s All Over Now”.

Awesome song James. I had to look it up because I never heard the stones play blues like that. Sure enough, the way the stones play it makes it sound more like a Beatles song. Your version is super bluesy and has many great blues licks. I love it.

Go slow and practice correct technique, and your abilities will dramatically improve.

Love your rendition. I like that song, but it’s really fantastic as a classic blues. Great work!

Great stuff James. The song was written by Bobby Womack (and perhaps his brother) – the Stones record was a cover version. I think if they had had the option they would have preferred to record your version. Keef’s solo on the record is disappointing, he’s said as much. Yours is much better.

Cool rendition, James, well played and sung. I wonder what old Mick would think of it. Do you have his email address?

A wonderful bluesy version of the old Stones classic—excellent guitar work and singing.

Your acoustic version sounds go good I thought that must be the original but no, Bobby Womak of The Valentinos wrote it and their version is similar to the Rolling Stones.

Great call to highlight that turnaround lick. A classic! They so often seem to get overlooked by those glory seeking lead licks 😀
That was such a fine arrangement of the song too. I thought I didn’t know it until it got to the chorus when I thought of wow! Both the singing and accompaniment absolutely top notch.
