Hello all….From what I see, lots of submissions. You guys have been working hard. I, on the other hand have been goofing off. I never would have predicted a lack of time during retired life…Between frequent golf outings and deciding to learn how to play some piano and take local guitar lessons, I’ve had to make choices as to how I spend “my spare time”
You guessed it….my Active Melody activities have been back-burnered. But I expect to return in the not too distant future.
The piano program that currently has me infatuated is called “Simply Piano” found on the Apple App store. Kind of like Videogame becomes serious instructor…Was $149 and worth every penny….

So that’s my current dilemma….I’ll be reviewing the forum to see who’s doing what. On first perusal, looks like lots of meat……

        Best to all.

Heartbroken Marty that you’re not posting this month but totally understand the needs of such a busy life. Maybe your next rig rundown will feature a range of keyboards that you have acquired along the way. All the best Marty and keep ‘em coming.

Saddened by the fact that there is no ‘Rig Rundown’.

That’s okay, of course, and at the same time it’s a shame my friend. See you later!

Play guitar just like you live; don't get bogged down in theory, it's just a tool without feeling.

Hi Marty – I’ve been thinking of ramping up my keyboard skills (which are close to zero), and the app you mentioned sounds interesting. Thanks for the tip, and I shall investigate it.

Hello Martin, I work on piano since 2 years, it helps me a lot for understanding music, harmony… and, to play guitar ! see you soon here, with both piano and guitar !

                      Hi Marty,

I like that you leave us a note anyways, that’s really cool 🙂

I have had piano for more than 20 years and barely touched it. But I did touch it for this month’s submission and I’m planning to do it more often from now on! Especially after reading your post and the comments above. So Marty – you still inspire us even without a video 😉

Marty you still deliver by checking in. The app sounds interesting. The sound slice on the lessons where the three dots are has a keyboard version. Maybe of interest to you.

                            Hi Marty:

Thanks for your note! I have a baby grand and really enjoy playing chord progressions on it – it provides a really different perspective compared to a guitar. I’ll check out the app you mention. Your comments on retirement are also interesting. I retired in 2016 and took up a new gig and have never been busier – in a good way.

                            Cheers, Tom

Well Marty, with all those guitars and the rig rundowns… i suspect you will be back soon. Cheers. Pap
