        Hi AMers,

This is my cover of Muddy Waters 1968 version of Mannish boy. I fell in love with the bass line of this song, so thought I would put together a cover. It’s a lot more simplified than the version on Electric Mud and less ‘psychedelic-blues’ feeling.

This was a lot of fun to play and record. Especially the bass line

        Thanks for watching!

Awesome Ben, that’s a great tune. I love the lead blues lick articulations you’re laying down. Super groovy and tasteful at the same time. The bass line is indeed an addictive groove so I can see why you like it.

Root note patterns >>> CAGED shapes >>> TRIAD'S. Just put in the work and watch your guitar skills soar.

Thanks Michael. I intended to do some more interesting lead phrases but struggled to come up with anything, but I’m happy with the end result. My bass obsession has eaten into my guitar practice time, but so be it!

I never heard this version before but you covered it very nicely. Your timing seemed to be perfect.
