Hey Andrew, that was pretty cool. JoLa asked me about how I go about with my vibrato, I haven’t put something together yet, but maybe you can explain to us how you approach your vibrato?
The melody of the notes is what expresses the art of music . 🙂 6stringerPete
It really is all about ”melody”. The melody comes from a language from our heart. Our heart is the muscle in music harmony. The melody is the sweetness that it pumps into our musical thoughts on the fretboard. 🙂 6 stringer Pete

Hi Pete,
Pretty much the same way Brian explained it in micro lesson 050.
But depending on the style I play, I try to use BB King style when i play blues.
If i play rock the vibrato is different, less going back and forth, more like one shot deal with
longer interval, more sustain instead of swinging the chord.
Well i dont know if this can help you, it hard to explained.
But usually i dont really think about it, i just go with the feeling of the moment.Let me know.

I think that sums it up pretty well, but for someone trying to get the feel and new at using vibrato, maybe you can show a video on it.
by the way, I have an android phone and I’d like to make a video and put it on YouTube, but I have no idea how to use the android.
Are you using a computer camera that’s on your computer? The melody of the notes is what expresses the art of music . 🙂 6stringerPete

You played a nice blues Andre`.
Play guitar just like you live; don't get bogged down in theory, it's just a tool without feeling.

Fender Twin? Here in New Zealand those things cost over $3000, so not many people have that kind of spare pocket change. There is one in my local guitar shop, and I’ve tried it out. Massive power, great sound.

Hi Steve,
I dont know the cost here in Quebec, but must be close to $3,000.
I bought mine in 1982, i dont remember how it cost, probabley around a $1,000/$1,500.
But it cost me $300. to have the reverb repaired and a tune up.
Works fine now, like you said lots of power and great sound. Reverb is awsome.
Just started to use features on it, connected to direct line recording.
Also have my pedals separated, Delay, Chorus, Flanger and wah connected in front.
Overdrive and Distortion, in the back. Sounds great.
Also using clean and dirty channels now.
Also have a Fender Mustang V2 amp, small but fun to play with.
I had a LAb Series amp, before the Twin, it was very versatile, but not enough power.
Only thing i regret is selling my Ampeg, that was a power house with 2 cabs with 4-12 in each, a monster that was. lolAndreM

I just watched this a few times,, you are amazing ..lot of skill .. warm good control good bbking..BTW i SEE EXCELLENT HD recording but what is it called latency? the perfect tones were not aligned with the video..I have no idea ,, just saying what I see.. but yeah incredible micro lesson ,, simply play more keep em coming friend!

You played this lesson so well, I thank you for redirecting me to this lesson
I watched and still listening to Brian explain this in his lesson as i type this ( not practicing tonight)..
What I HEAR FROM YOU, noticed the soft pick,, youplay soft pick.. on my software yamaha compression control.. there are options to simulate/modulate soft/medium/hard and frequency ratios and filters and attack or whatever
the point I am making is that ,,you show confidence and experience using light gauge picks.. i’m impressed here because I think this concept works best for this BB KING .. it’s subtle picking (less pick noise) and leaves the listener with more emphasis on the vibrato
anyway, something I discovered tonight eating raisin nut mix lol

cool, yeah man, I only seen the latency but the video and audio simply awesome.. Andre, uour twin reverb is 100 watts,, the pro reverb i tried is 60watts . my inlaw has an online gear shop guitars /amps etc bunch of Laney amps I can try them all i think i’m content for the amps i use for room practice,, I agree about Marshall too but try a Laney they are amazing too.I use different picks depending on what I’m picking ,, I been experienting but usually like my heavy picks when not using fingers\\I ask because I see I can learn from you too! .. good luck with that latency issue,, i think these forums have latency issues lol
