Just a GREAT album, Love Me Mama (1969), plus 4 extra songs not on the original issue. Jimmy Dawkins is the other guitarist on songs 2, 6, 8, 9, 13, 14.
Luther Allison’s music in these years is phenomenal.

Sunnyland Slim, Slim’s Got His Thing Goin’ On (1969)
Shakey Jake Harris’ and Sunnyland Slim’s albums were recorded about a month apart in Los Angeles for World Pacific; Shakey Jake Harris’ was first on September 28, 1968. Sunnyland Slim’s was recorded on October 29, 1968.
The first two songs on here are from 1967, Odie Payne (piano), Freddie Roulette (steel guitar), Big Mojo Elem (bass), S.P. Leary (drums).

Hey John, I wasn’t even thinking about that, but we do have the snow here this year! I was going through a box of CDs this morning and I had an urge to listen to Love Me Mama, it blew me away (especially “4:00 In The Morning”). Merry Christmas, Happy New Year!
