June 2026 Challenge Response- Nearly Como Va! Rich F

Hi all,

Here is my challenge response for the June 2-chord challenge. This is fate! My Wife and I had just booked tickets to go and see a Santana tribute band next Saturday night… so, inspired by that thought, last week, I started trying to learn one of my favourite Santana tracks, “Oye Como Va”…. The lesson I looked at said that it was only two chords: A Minor and D, so I recorded these on my looper, and started to learn a few of the riffs…

Then I saw Brian’s 2-chord challenge!

Here it is… as it is nowhere near Santana’s rendition, I call it “Nearly Como Va!”

There are some terrific tribute bands out there, and they’re affordable – unlike many of the originals, sadly 🫤🫤. I’m sure you’re going to love the concert 👌👌.
