Hello AM,
Challenge: silence
I chose a composition I made in March 2021, its a blues in A minor. Plenty of silence.
I changed a few things: Changed the Brass, the organ with a B3 and the rhythm guitar.
I must say I think I prefer my solo from March 2021I borrowed this sweet ES-335 from my sister-in-law.
It was her father’s, bought in 1982. It was under a bed in its case for at least the last 30 years.
I offered to clean it up and put new strings on it. Looks beautiful and plays nice.
I don’t know how long I will be able to hold on to it.Enjoy
March 2021 challenge response.

This was masterful. I absolutely loved this!
And that 335 is almost as nice as your playing
Id love the tab if you have it/are happy to share

They’re both nice submissions Andre; to be honest I liked your older version better. I think the difference was in the tone. However, they both fit the bill for the challenge – there’s plenty of space for the notes to breathe in, and they both invoke an atmosphere of their own.

I liked them both but think I preferred the new one a little better. Maybe it was the changes you made to the backing track.
When your sister-in-law comes back for that guitar just lock the doors and close all the shades! 😎

I like them both, I think if you dialed back the effects a little on the ES-335 version, it would be el numero uno. Wonderful playing as usual.
Go slow and practice correct technique, and your abilities will dramatically improve.

Andre, this is such a great composition. I love how the dynamic moves along melodically, then you punctuate with that pulsing phrase, loud and strong. Loved it!

Great composition! Love the melodies, and those brass hits. That guitar is indeed sweet! 🤩

Awesome playing, Andre! You nailed the theme of this lesson-twice. Very melodic and played like a pro.

Great stuff, Andre! You have a black belt in phrasing. I do like that 335….have you offered her money for it? Maybe she’ll give you a family discount.

Home run Andre.
Liked them both, this is what playing the blues is all about and that is what it should sound like. Great job.
As far as the ES. try to hang on to it, it sounds good and you played it like you have owned it for 30 years
