Talk about waiting until the last minute! I sat down to write and record Thursday! 🤪
But despite my procrastination, I did have a plan for some time. I had a concept- use funky, syncopated lines, but layer several guitars to create interest. I also had a A part (Gm) and a B Part (Bb-F-Eb-D7). Needless to say, it’s pretty raw and mostly improvised.
Thanks for checking it out!
The clipped silences and cheeky bass guitar make this a real gas. Makes me think of a slowed down version McCartney’s Coming Up.

What an interesting post, Alan. It really stands out. Great job—applause!
Thank you very much, Werner
That was great Alan, a really interesting concept and perfect execution. The two minutes went very quickly. It’s very different to the submissions so far, but certainly nails the challenge.
I love funky!
I like the different guitar parts, the bass and that funky rhythm.
The stops make the silence.
I think it sounded great.
