i recently purchased a M-audio fast track pro/ USB Audio/MIDI Interface w/preamps. When i went shopping i was actually looking for a simple bit of software that would allow me to play my guitar thru my PC and thus thru my reciever- to my speakers. Well i got that and sooo much more. What i have is the beginning of nice little ‘home recording studio’. This thing is the bomb. Of coarse this is the basic hardware the software to go w/it is written by Ableton(quite reasonably priced, seems to me) . There is so much information contained in this program it’s amazing. Problem is, not ever been around recording equipment before, i’m at a total loss where to even start. There are tutorials they offer, which i’m stumbling thru, sorta, But i’m not really having any success w/it yet. The thing still may as well be a paper weight- i’d get more use out of it…. sincerely,…Miky2Times

Hey mike2times – I too have an M-Audio Fast Track Pro and love it. In fact, that’s what I use to record all of those jam tracks that I give away on this site. Those are all done here in my basement through the Fast Track Pro. I’ve always been a big fan of M-Audio products.. I have a Delta 10/10 as well, but it shorted out on me a few years ago and I haven’t had a chance to send it back to them (they’re good about fixing those things too).

Best of luck in your audio recording, feel free to post any specific question you have about gear / software / recording techniques, etc here because I’m sure it’ll be something that I’ve encountered and can help with.
