        Hello everyone,
This is just a bit of improv in D over a BB King styled jam track by Quist. It’s certainly not a polished piece but I decided to post it because it represents a bit of a breakthrough for me. I’m beginning to see how the 5 positions of the pentatonic fit together. I’ve been pretty much living in the first and second boxes so beginning to venture out onto the rest of the fretboard is very exciting.

I am also trying to bring more variety into my improvs by including bits from Brian’s lessons and licks and phrasing I hear others use.

As always, thanks for giving it a listen.
        All the best,
        Bob

Well-played, Bob. Runs and improv are great. Your phrasing is melodic and very articulate.

Great improvisations along the entire neck in different positions. Very nice bluesy phrases, with a big variety of licks, runs leads and different rhythmic patterns that keep the listener attention alive. Excellent job!

Working all the patterns like a boss. Way to go Bob. You have great left hand positioning which is something I struggle with, that’s going to make it very easy for you to move fluently through all your licks efficiently.

Go slow and practice correct technique, and your abilities will dramatically improve.
