        Brian,
I purchased the Hendrix lesson last week, and it has much to offer. After jamming to the track and looking at the tab, I realized how many tunes use these fingering positions. I hope it is a popular download! Not only Hendrix uses this cool method of fills, so does
Robin Trower, ZZ Top, and even Journey too. There is so much you can do to this. One thing that is cool is to go up to the 12th fret
and work your way down in the A Minor Pentatonic scale. Or for that matter try other position scales too. It is a very useful lesson. I
        hope many here download it.
        Thank you, Fresnojohns

Thanks Fresno – appreciate it. Yeah you’re right it’s definitely way more than just Hendrix.. but for some reason I associated a lot of that stuff with him (not sure where it really originated), but yes lots of other artists use these same licks / techniques. Hopefully you’ll be able to carry that into your playing.

            Brian,

Does the Hendrix lesson come with a Jam track, I am sure if went out to the home page it said that it does. I think that I am going to buy it, the “Hendrix” chord is kind of a confusing chord to me. I love its sound, but haven’t Really figured out just how to use it. I have been playing and practicing blues for hours a day, for months and could use some fresh material to work on. I have some really great tools that I use daily, in addition to your site…which by the way is my favorite. You have responded to a few of my posts, and probably have a general idea of what I am into. I love the Dead, and I love the Allman Bros. That being said I really like playing through Major Pentatonic, and then here and there adding in the half steps that make it a mode of the major scale. Mixalydian is probably my favorite sound, because it works well with the bluesy 7th chords, that we all love so much. Aside from the Hendrix Lesson, is there anything else that you reccommend that I purchase from your site, in terms of a lesson. Is one of the other ones a better fit for my taste in the blues?

Hey Dannel – the Hendrix course would be a good one to start with because it’s only $7 and you could see if it’s a good fit for you. I think it’s a really good deal at that price.. nearly an hour of instruction, it does come with jam track and tab.. and you’ll finish that course with a greater understanding of how to embellish your chords when playing rhythm. I would also recommend the blues lead guitar course if you’re interested in playing lead… I try and break that down and teach you everything about playing lead (assuming you don’t know anything)
