Brian’s lesson on Amazing Grace is what brought me to Active Melody years ago. I leaned that one back then but have worked on several different arrangements over the years. Here is the latest – I plan to work up the rest of the song at some point. This one is in a more R&B style like Hendrix might have done. Hope you enjoy it

Glad the tabs helped. They are pretty primitive

Keep these coming, Barry. Some of my favourite Hendrix/Cropper embellishments.
If I can make one suggestion. I think you could have a more straight on view of the guitar neck. Your angle might obscure some of the fingering. Hope that’s a helpful comment.
Great thumbnail, by the way.

I need to get a real camera – I am just using an iPad and that does not give a much flexibility especially in the small space I am in. I will keep this in mind on the next one. Thanks for the suggestion

My wife really liked this one, so I have to learn this one. I will put my own spin on it, but this is really superb double-stop goodness.
Go slow and practice correct technique, and your abilities will dramatically improve.

Glad you liked it – it is a bit different than what I usually do

Great work Barry. Always love the thumbnails. I like how you are referencing Brian’s lessons or use them as a base to further create arrangements. As for equipment, use what you have to get the effect you want. When you go to the 2nd angle shot of explaining each section you could use an ironing board for some height levels and angle the iPad on that. Really appreciate the freestyle tabs (arty to me). Now I’m set with everything that I need to follow. 👍
