From his 1st solo album, Clapton plays a smokin’ solo near the end of this one. There is no way that his part would be overlooked or mistaken.
Interesting that Stills was a student of Rev Gary Davis, a blind street preacher that lived near Greenwich Village. The Rev was an acoustic fingerpicking master whose style would be best described Piedmont blues, which was much more melodic than the Delta Blues, ala Robert Johnson & others
