Hi AMers
I think this is my shortest submission with 0:45min!
The lesson looks easy but I found it technically challenging, to slide into the chords
and to play these tricky lead lines in-between.I counted my challenge submissions and this is about no. 52 since I started with AM in May 2020.
The total of submissions might be over 80.Denise (from Switzerland)

Yes, gliding into the chords is always a challenge. You did a good job, it sounds great.

Short but very sweet., Denise! A great blues/jazz standalone guitar piece played brilliantly on your Tele! Great timing and the slide chords were spotlessly played!

It might have been short Denise but you kicked off with a sprightly intro which you held throughout. A lively start to herald in our Spring in Europe.

It’s fun to quantify our AM engagement, but the length of the piece, as we all know, is not the measure of its quality. This was a skillful piece of guitar work at any length. (You could always do what I do and repeat yourself a bunch of times.) You played this with an intentionality that is the mark of an accomplished musician. Nice work!

That sounded great Denise. You played it very well.

Hi Denise, really well played. Great pace and tone, very enjoyable. It didn’t sound like you were struggling at all. Congrats on crossing the 50 challenges milestone.

Nice playing, Denise! That’s tough playing those chords and notes like you did and keeping everything in time and flowing smoothly. Great job!

This has become a new favorite of mine, and I almost submitted it! I play it kinda straight, but I love the swing and bounce you bring to it. Well done! 👍

Love the sound you dialed with Misty, Denise! To me, it has that rich rock and roll tone, and along with your skilled strumming and picking, it sounds totally pro. I know how you may feel about just a short piece under a minute but so challenging! (story of my life, too). Congrats on having done so many AM projects, over 50 challenges and then some! You’re not only a great but also a very productive player!
Is that the JJ Cale’s Okie LP album or is it a picture of it?

Hi Denise , congrats on over 50 challenges,
Short and sweet, but less is more in this instance, you captured the intricacy and nuances from this micro lesson, which I think is invaluable.
Love the gritty tone you’ve dialled in , sounds great on the tele.
Looking forward to the wales trip .Martin

I found that very relaxing and a lovely listen, Denise – nicely done 👍🎶😎
I know it’s a few months away, but looking forward to your trip to Wales 👌👌 – I’m sure you’ll have a wonderful time ♥️🥰♥️🥰 Just don’t bother trying to pronounce those Welsh names 😂 – my grandparents were Welsh, and tried to teach me when I was a child, but my teeth kept falling out 🤣🤣🤣

Your dedication is paying off Denise! Though short (I was able to listen twice!), it was a great example of combining lead fills, chords, and passing chords. A very pro way of playing.

Agree with you on this lesson, seemed easy enough but technically it is challenging. What you did was done really well done and the tone you dialled in complemented it also . I can see you pursuing this further and broadening this micro lesson into something special. In time I know you will.

Short but powerful, well played.

You nailed it 😎. The timing was spot on and you played all those fill licks and sliding chords with precision. I can’t imagine it that was easy to achieve, even though it looked effortless 👏.
Great to see misty again. That powerful front pickup tone sounds perfect for this. Just the right amount of overdrive dialled in 👍.P.S. JJ Cale, Is Alain letting you borrow his turntable?

Good to hear something from that lesson series. I found them so rewarding and so much fun to play. And I assume, you had also much fun, Denise, despite the difficulties, you describe. In any case, it looks like a lot of fun the way you play it
Take the chance to meet your AM friends on Zoom
The next Meetup will be July
There will be a detailed announcement here in the forum
I look forward to meet you.

Denise
I love Misty and the fact that you are rippin’ on a stand alone piece with some killer tone and dirt dialed in. This was way too short. I would venture to guess it’s not too easy either. Your hand and finger coordination are remarkable-nice work on those slides. All in all, this was tasty, spicey and driving. You never cease to amaze me. I was trying to save you for last but couldn’t resist. Rock on!John

Beautiful job on a stand alone piece. Those sliding double stops are tricky.
I love that when you play guitar you always accompanied by one of your friends.

Great performance – a real toe-tapper, which goes to show how perfect your timing was.

I always say less is more! The skills you develop from these “Easy” ones are so important. Tough at first, but so worthwhile once you get them.

Well done Denise, nicely played and the sound is also so good! as for short submissions, I’m a master in that, but the important thing is to show up, and you did it great!
If I wasn't making mistakes I wouldn't be the kind of player I want to be. Perfection is dangerous.

Short but well played and full of great licks, I hope you can remember them! It’s surprising how the submissions mount up, 80 submissions is a huge achievement, enough to make an album!
