I redid the lesson from last week today using my electric guitar and a few upgrades to my sound. There is one glaring bad note in what I played, but I’m really amazed how much more it inspiring it is to play better when the guitar sounds better. You’ll see what I mean when you listen to it. Enjoy.

Go slow and practice correct technique, and your abilities will dramatically improve.

Yeah Michael! Awesome sound and guitar work. I agree, if you’re happy with the tone you’ve dialled in it definitely inspires you to be more creative! All the best! 😎🎸😎

Quite a different feel from Brian’s mellow version. I liked it.

Very nice work Michael. 👍 That sounds great.

When I first started at AM way back, I was simply using my cellphone for recording. Eventually, I switched up to using a proper recording interface and what a difference! I could not go back to recording with my cellphone again.

This was very nice Michael. I struggle to dial in the tone I like. There’s been a big improvement in the quality of your recordings since you got your interface and DAW. Now the last step is to add some video so we can see your hands.

I know Joe, I’ve been a little lazy in the video department. I’ll get there, but I was so excited to experience some of the tones out of this NDSP Tone King Imperial MKII plugin all else has gone out the window for a while. I’m in guitar tone heaven. It’s a bit expensive for what it is, but I might wait for a sale to come around till I can purchase it. I just spent a chunk of change on some other gear that will be coming in soon. I have neglected playing electric for too long.

The tone in this recording was just one of the first presets I got lost in another world while playing. I see there are so many other options to dial in a nice blues tone as well. I’m just using the trial version so it all comes to an end once the 14 day trial ends unless I buy it. I’ll probably wait for the sale though.

Go slow and practice correct technique, and your abilities will dramatically improve.
