This was another great lesson I had a go at. One problem I ran into is I was unable to drag the backing track into Ableton Lite. No problem with other tracks, just this one. In the end, I found a way to work around the issue but it was tougher to get out a recording on this one.

Threw a lot of my own ideas at this lesson. Since this whole thing was very moody with lots of space thrown in for effect, I tried to keep to the same spirit.

I like this one Geoff. You got 3 minutes of improve out of it. Great work.

Go slow and practice correct technique, and your abilities will dramatically improve.

I’m loving the tone and ethereal vibe you got there, Michael. I wonder why you couldn’t add your backing track to Ableton. I’ve done it before, and it couldn’t be easier – just drag and drop. Did you Google it?

Great take on this lesson Geoff and again kudos on your ability to improv freely over this backing track! 👏👏👏 I too have had this issue. I love this lesson and tried to drag the file into Ableton Live and no success so I ‘abandoned ship’. This has happened on other occasions too. I think I had trouble with either EP400 or EP404 (can’t remember which one). I’d be interested to know whether you have had trouble dragging one of these into your DAW as well (I have a feeling it was EP404). Anyway, thanks for sharing. Very enjoyable. All the best! 😎🎸😎
