Hi all,

I have not been playing for a while. My last post at this forum was almost a year ago. I just wanted to play this EP547 lesson. It is beautiful but hard for me to play.

I am experiencing trouble to find the right pitch while bending and I also found the timing very difficult. I practiced bending vibrato a lot, but I think I will never be able to do that. (I did find Brian’s lesson on this subject). I skipped this technique in this video

Sounded wonderful, Vincent. Your bends and vibrato were great.
I wondered why I hadn’t learned this lovely sounding lesson. I discovered it was our 2024 Dec Challenge where we all composed a new lead over the backing track.

Love this one Vince. Excellent expressive guitar work. I never heard this particular lesson before, so I’ll be looking into it for sure as it looks like a fun one. And I agree with charjo, your vibrato is very good.

Go slow and practice correct technique, and your abilities will dramatically improve.

Welcome back Vincent. I don’t know why it’s been a year since you’ve posted but I’m glad you did because this sounded super good. Bends and vibrato and everything else were right on the money.

Ummm…I don’t think I really understand your harsh self criticism. If you have a problem with bending and vibrato , I sure as heck cannot hear it.

Your playing of this was excellent 👏 👌. Probably better than I could do.

I believe I didn’t express myself well enough. I mean vibrato while bending. I think that is something I want to learn.

I have that same problem and criticism of my self, but as I look back I’m a lot better than I was a year or two ago, so any progress is a good thing. The thing about vibrato, is the many differing techniques that have to be mastered. Lot’s of subtleties. The other issue for me is breaking my strings way more often than I would like. That is so annoying.

Go slow and practice correct technique, and your abilities will dramatically improve.
