Hi all,
Me again! I’ve become a bit addicted to posting videos so hope you don’t mind another submission
I wasn’t initially recording this piece to upload but I wanted to share a specific part. At approx 2 minutes 30, I messed up completely but somehow managed to improvise something that fit and felt completely fluid and natural to play. Clearly something in these lessons is working to the point where I can somehow add in an improvisation with little thought.
I’m so pleased I managed to do this, and it feels like another milestone in my guitar journey. Definitely far from the best improvisation you’ll ever see, but I’m proud I managed it
Thanks for watching!

This incredible work Ben. Your fretting hand and pick are synced up perfectly. I think it will only get better and better for you Ben.
Go slow and practice correct technique, and your abilities will dramatically improve.

Yeah Ben, you got back on track nicely and probably very few would have noticed if you hadn’t pointed it out. Kudos to you, you play with expression and fine touch. All the best! 😎🎸😎

Sounds sweet, Ben. Nice technique all around and a nice light touch. I think you’re ready for the stage my friend.
John
P.S. Loved the tone. What model PRS is that and what pick are you using, it looks tiny?

Thanks John! I’m hoping to go to a blues jam next Tuesday so hopefully that will be the start of live playing
It’s a PRS SE Santana. Was only £600 new (down from £900 or so) but absolutely blows my more expensive guitars out the water. I don’t think I’ll ever go back to Fender.
I use dunlop jazz iii max grip plectrums. Any other pick feels too big to use now. They’re great for accuracy, but I definitely wouldn’t recommend them for strumming

Hey Ben
Lovely rendition-great technique and tone…. and the part that you ‘messed up’ sounded fluid and soulful. Keep ’em coming. Please don’t every apologize for submitting ‘too many’ that’s what we do!😉Rock On!!

You have such a nice touch to your playing.added by the tone of the guitar. Enjoyed listening to your rendition. To play something so fluid and natural while improvising with little thought is a huge milestone.

Fantastic – if you’d said nothing I would not have known there was a “mistake” – sound all brilliant to me
