Hi All,
Hope everyone is keeping safe.
Spent a fair bit of time on this one. Played Brian’s original first 22 bars then extended it with my own 22 bars. Practised with a metronome for a while to accommodate the bars with the off beat triplets but decided to ditch the metronome as the strict tempo to me sounded too stilted. Feedback on the sound setup would be great (used the British Blues Combo Amp in GarageBand) and also whether members think I’ve continued along the same vein as Brian’s original cycle.
All the best!

Got a nice fuzz tone, soft and mellow. Digs deep into ones soul. Very fine playing.
The melody of the notes is what expresses the art of music . 🙂 6stringerPete
It really is all about ”melody”. The melody comes from a language from our heart. Our heart is the muscle in music harmony. The melody is the sweetness that it pumps into our musical thoughts on the fretboard. 🙂 6 stringer Pete

Smooth playing and lots of tasty licks there. I’ll need to check this one out, there’s a sort of Robin Trower feeling going on there too. The second part carried the feel through so you made very good choices. Tone was rich and soft, if you pushed me , I’d prefer a smidge more treble to open it up more but that’s probably just a personal preference. Great job and a fine reminder of the cream days.

Nicely played, Gary. It’s a great test if I can’t tell where your lead starts and Brian’s ends. I really liked the lick at 1:42. I liked the warm, “woman” tone but I think it needed a little more nasty grit.

Excellent, Gary! Your licks in the second half fit perfectly. This lesson of Brian’s never reminded me much of a Cream song to my ear. But you certainly nailed it!!

sounds like a good groove there Garry..timing pretty in the pocket as well…
Keep moving forward man…dont forget to thank the pandemic for making it possible to grow so much as a player..FYI AM not really for me but the good people here helped me with some good direction when I first started about a year ago…BB box and major blends took me out of the minor lockin that i created for myself pretty fast….anyway..hope you and your family stay safe …as this thing aint quite over yet it seems… Best of luck man..Alan -

Nice smooth licks, tone is on point. Sounds great, would like to hear a backing track with it.
Live on planet Earth ? You got the blues.

Great job Garry! That is classice Eric Clapton “woman” tone like he did with Cream for sure! Like in the solo for Sunshine of Your Love. You nailed this my friend. Great playing and soul. bob

Very well played and sounds great (as always)! I don’t know this lesson, but for me first and second part (with your improvisation) was both amazing!

Cool Garry! Your improvisation fit very well. Nice playing.
Play guitar just like you live; don't get bogged down in theory, it's just a tool without feeling.
