Brian calls this ‘jammin’ with yourself.’ Folky, bluegrassy, standalone (my favorite genre of guitar these days). I posted this a couple of weeks ago with the hope of getting better results. It’s hard to keep up to snuff if not played 3-4 times a day. I did not mic my guitar this time. I can’t believe how good the audio sounds just using a simple iPhone. This J45 has a full bodied, punchy, woody and dynamic quality to it. So much fun. Lastly, I did alter this a bit. I incorporate G bluegrass run and D bluegrass licks in the beginning (in lieu of what Brian wrote) and added my own ending to expedite my learning of the arrangement. It worked!

This is impressive on so many levels, John. Terrific improvisation over top-notch bluegrass. Very enjoyable. The J45 sounds great in your skillful hands.

Brilliantly flat picked and strummed John, great and flawless blue grass rendition! The acoustic Gibsons they have an unmistakable warm and punchy tone, a pure joy for the ears.

This one is not easy to play. I’m still working on it at much slower tempos, but it’s one of my favorites. You obviously have worked hard on this one John.
Go slow and practice correct technique, and your abilities will dramatically improve.

Thank you everybody for your kinds words. Not sure if a tune like this is ever ‘ready’. It’s always in a state of evolution so to speak. San Luis Ray, Guido, Garry and Michael thanks for the positive vibes.

That is some impressive work there John.
Both hands constantly busy and it must be a big challenge remembering everything.
I think you’re right a tune like this is always going to leave you with more to do which is no bad thing.
Tone really was class.

Love watching bluegrass / flat picking players because it sounds so good. Hard to do, so appreciate those like yourself that have the speed and ability to perform these arrangements. Great work John.
