Hello my dearest AMers ♥️ 💖 💓
I haven’t played or posted for a long time but I’m back 🤪 If you remember I had started experimenting with the acoustic guitar that Manolis made for me ,so one lesson I found really appealing was a percussive composition by Brian!Check it out!!!And then I thought:”why don’t I add some lead to it ?” So here it is!!I hope you like it🥰🥰🥰 -

Sounds really good Helen. That guitar has a sweet sound to it for sure.
Go slow and practice correct technique, and your abilities will dramatically improve.

You played the lesson so well, Helen, but your beautifully composed lead was even more impressive . Great percussive technique, that’s still a challenge for me. Loved your vibrato and the bends on the acoustic were terrific. The new guitar sounds amazing.
One minor suggestion, I’d like to hear the percussive accompaniment just a little louder in the mix. Could be wrong but here’s my reasoning. I suspect you are really following the chords in such a melodic way but I can’t quite hear it.

Thank you so much John for your great feedback!!I feel comforted because I hadn’t touched the guitar for such a long time that I didn’t know where to start from!and Thank God I remembered how to use Focusrite 🤣But Mike undertook the mixing so yes maybe we should have turned the rhythm up a bit!🥰

Helen, this was wonderful. So soulful and the guitar looks and sounds rich and warm. Your lead was perfect for this.

Great to hear you on acoustic Helen. Very impressive rhythmic percussion playing and an equally awesome melodic bluesy solo over the top. We’re glad you’re back and we’re calling for more!!! All the best! 😎🎸😎

Welcome back Helen 😄.
I know you haven’t been able to play for a while but it is as if you never stopped. I don’t know this lesson but your part fitted in with it very seamlessly and it is beautifully played.
I have to say, I really liked the big sound your precious guitar produces. That instrument is a real keeper. 🎸🎵
PS: unlike chargo I thought your mix was just fine. Goes to show how we all hear things a little differently.

That was seriously impressive Helen.
I loved everything about it and will mirror pretty much everything John said about your performance.
Whatever you’ve been doing keep doing it.
Look forward to more like this.
Liam.

What a beautiful melody, great phrasing, vibrato. Loved these country licks.
Your guitar sounds amazing, almost like a concert guitar.

Wow, my dearest Helen, it doesn’t sound like you haven’t picked up a guitar in a long time.
I also really like this percussive composition by Brian. But your fantastic melodic playing on top of it blew me away. It was just wonderful. I have to listen to it again right away.Take the chance to meet your AM friends on Zoom

That was beautiful Helen. It’s so good to see you back performing again with a great piece on an acoustic beauty. Your melody and phrasing was spot on against a steady percussive rhythm.

Really impressive Helen, to complement a lead over this rhythm. Your lead arrangement was made for this. I had to check back to this lesson and rewatched your arrangement again. Glad your back and for sharing your exquisite playing on the forum.

That was a joy to listen to, Helen. Your playing technique is excellent and both lead and rhythm (as far as I could hear it) sounded great. The pause didn’t hurt your playing at all!

Helen,
What a beautiful presentation. You are an inspiration to me. A wonderfully played lesson made even better by your lead guitar composition. You are so talented. Congratulations to Manolis for such fantastic luthier work, just a great sounding guitar.

Dearest Helen 🥰🥰 – that really was beautiful 👏👏 Both parts played with a lot of feeling, and I admired the bends you got on that lovely – custom-made 😲 – acoustic 👍👍♥️♥️
So pleased to see you back in the groove – your ‘Music Man’ is still obviously sitting on your shoulder and always in your heart 🥰🥰
Lots of love, – Mark 👍🎶😎

Hi Helen, first of all it’s nice to see you back in the forum, and with a great rendition and composition! I’m a fan of these kind of acoustic duets, and your duet with yourself was just perfect! Loved your lead composition over the rhythm part, brilliantly layered. The tone from your artisanal guitar is beautiful. Enjoyed very much to listen to it!

Helen
Nicely arranged and performed. I love that you are delving into acoustic-just a tremendous sound altogether. That is a sweet sounding guitar and also looks fun to play. Hooray for Helen. Great to hear you again. I suspect playing with your fingers is a welcome challenge? It gets even more interesting when fingerpicking translates to the electric. Great stuff. Hope you are having a great new year.John
