Great Lights. Nice mix of the two lessons although I’m not familiar with 013. Definitely sounded like a down and dirty blues as this must be ‘Dirty Blues Week’ after Brian’s post of EP387. Can I ask if you use the lessons as a base and improvise freely while performing or do you create a mini composition after ‘noodling’ for hours before coming up with a series of licks and ideas, notating it and following a plan and structure. As always, enjoy your choice of music and style of playing. All the best!

Hey Lights, I think the coronavirus pandemic has been good for you: Your playing seems to have reached a new level of skill – much cleaner, less random string noise, good dynamics. You have inspired me. I’ll also be playing mainly acoustic now for the next few months, because it’s summer here in New Zealand, and it’s really pleasant to sit outside and play acoustic blues. I never heard EP013 before, so I’ll add that to my list. That probably came out the week before I joined ActiveMelody.
