This is another slow blues backing track – D Minor Blues Backing Track | Guitar Jam by Quist.
I’m learning a lot playing these slow blues. I still need to work on my timing, learning more licks, my technique, etc.

You are demonstrating taste, restraint and patience while creating a sultry and melodic blues solo. Great use of ‘space’ and ‘blue’ notes. I rarely offer unsolicited advice to anybody on this thread (but I feel comfortable enough with you) to suggest maybe trying using some chords or rhythm chops in the solo. It adds some texture. Brian has a recent lesson on this very thing suggesting “this is what is missing from our solos.” Just a thought. Well done my friend. Seeing lots of growth in your lead play.John

I appreciate the suggestion John…which lesson are you talking about? I’ll take a look. I’ve found most of Brian’s lessons are too advanced for me but I am planning on doing one for the next challenge. I’m thinking of doing EP577 Clapton-esque. It looks like something I can handle. I also find that I need to focus on one thing, like Pentatonics, in order for it to sink in. Next I would like to learn how to mix in some chords or triads to spice things up. Thanks John.
