The air pollution coming to Japan is so serious that our local officials are telling us to stay indoors. No boundaries for this sort of stuff.

It really is all about ”melody”. The melody comes from a language from our heart. Our heart is the muscle in music harmony. The melody is the sweetness that it pumps into our musical thoughts on the fretboard. 🙂 6 stringer Pete

Thirty years ago Americas industrial pursuits caused acid rain in Canada. Sulfur dioxide I believe is the name of the offending chemical. I love the outdoors and it makes me really sad to see how smart mankind is as a whole, but we are destroying our own environment. Almost everywhere on Earth we are doing this. After the tsunami this is all Japan needs. I don’t want to ever know what its like to be afraid of the air I breath. America is just as guilty as China, after all we are buying what they are making as fast as they can make it. I compost, recycle everything, and all kidding aside I’ve considered having one of the Amish from the rural area I live in train our horse to pull a buggy so I could drive less and have one less vehicle to insure. More on point though , China is becoming a monster. They have a standing military as big as our entire American population, they are a nuclear superpower with the ability to shoot down satellites, they have admitted to having had for some time now an internet program designed to attack targets in the USA for military purposes(dams, the power grid, nuclear facilities etc.), the obviously have little or no regard for human health or life, they are currently the worlds high rise capital(more scyscrapers going up here than anywhere else in the world). After the world trade center bombings everybody wanted an American flag. I seen on the news how all these little flags everybody bought to show their patriotism were made in Chinese sweatshops. I think I’m going to start a thread titled “How Americans would behave IF we were stupid” . Sorry about the rant, but I’ve been wanting to unload that baggage for a while now and this seemed like an appropriate place.

And let’s not forget what our own government is doing that is more concerning than air pollution
I heard a report this morning that our government has purchased enough hollow point ammo to wage a 30 year war and thousand of AR-15s, The crazy thing is that they are terming the AR-15 as personal protection weapons but in the gun control debate, the same weapon is a tactical weapon or an assault weapon if a legal citizen wants to own it. Humvee’s are being modified to patrol our streets in addition to Black Hawk helicopters flying through our streets of our cities on joint military training exercises.
I don’t mean to be political here but its a major concern. Is this part of the fundamental change that is being made to the United States of America? With all of the angst in our society as it is, why does our government feel the need to add to it with nonsense like this?
Here are 2 news reports about this very thing

I hope & pray that I’m only being paranoid here and that this is not anything at all to be concerned about

Hey Keith
Thanks for posting. I’ll have to read it. I heard a little about it, but… Don’t worry about any political threads on the forum. We all here are to share even our political views. But what do you think is the reason behind all the ammo. Surely it can’t be for the Japanese to defend themselves against the Chinese. LOL

I never dreamed that I would see the day that the Attorney General of the US was being grilled in by the Senate about whether the government would be within it Constitutional rights to kill an American on American soil with an air strike. It totally amazes me!!!! What has our nation become and what is it becoming? Bush was constantly trashed by the media over water boarding enemy combatants in hopes of saving American lives and now we are talking about killing our own citizens with air strkies? And BTW, notice how the media is mostly silent on the issue?
I remember the day in 1971 that the riot on Kent State resulted in 4 dead on that campus by gunfire from the National Guard and what a uproar that caused at the time. But, now to interview our Attorney General about air strikes on our people, to have military exercises on the streets of our cities and enough ammo for a 30 year war?Wonder what kind of pictures Norman Rockwell would paint of life in America if he was alive today?
Sorry for the rant but my sons have to grow up and live in this, I’m sure some of you many have the same concerns

Its a shame to see a country created by the greatest minds of their time, based on the principles of two empires that each lasted over 1500 years, be in so much trouble so early in its history. One of our biggest problems in a general sense, I believe, has been that we have not faithfully adhered to these outlined principles, but have instead compromised based on greed and politics. We’ve replaced statesmen with politicians, taken our currency of the gold standard, maintained a standing military force, let our federal government swell to its current status as Americas largest employer, driven factory jobs to foreign countries with excessive regulations, taxes the citizenry beyond what british serfs paid in the fifteenth century, workers and employers have to pay into a social security fund for benefits that a becoming increasingly conditional, we’ve relenquished some of our soverignty by joining organizations like OPEC, NATO, the UN, the WTO. No country on earth can expect to do all of these things and survive. Any on of them is bad enough but we do it all and more. Growing up my folks taught me about consequences and reaping what you sow. If we are in no position to lead by example then how must we lead, by force perhaps? Sorry.

Wanna’ go back to the nation we were guys? Go back to the Christian principles we were founded on by our founding fathers. It’s as simple as that. Look at the path Rome went down. Now look at the path we’re going down. If you do, you’ll see MARKED similarities. Trust me on this one.

Anyone that reads this that is old enough to remember the Viet Nam war and Watergate can readily see how polarized we are as a nation. Viet Nam, if memory serves me, was an undeclared war and it was politicized in Congress and the White House. Watergate was one of the biggest blunders a Prez could have made and with all of the good that Nixon did, he is most remembered by the Watergate scandal.
Most of us learned the Pledge of Allegiance in grade school and even those that wasn’t of a Christian background didn’t seem to have too much problem with the one live of the Pledge – ‘One nation, under God, Indivisible….’ . Now, not only do we have people that object to that line but refuse to say the pledge because they are ashamed of this nation.
During my 7th and 8th grade years, our principle used the PA system to read a chapter from the Bible and to pray over the school each Monday morning. There were no school shootings, many that were hunters and drove to school would have a gun rack in the back window of their truck. 12 ga shotguns would be openly displayed and ammo was behind the seat. No violence other than occasional fist fight over something stupid. But today…., today is different. Agreeing with 70s Strat, Can’t help but to think that we’ve abandoned our principles that we were founded on and we need to return to themThe polarization in our nation today is worse than we experienced during the late 60s & early 70s. A kingdom that is divided against itself cannot stand.
I remember a bumper sticker cliche from the Viet Nam era ‘America: Love It or Leave It. That says it all and speaks my thoughts very well. If I wanted a society like they have in other countries, I would move there. Don’t expect me to change just so someone can have morals of another society.
Our founding fathers had very specific ideals in mind when they wrote the Constitution and the Federalist Papers. Those ideals has stood the test of time better than anything in history and we as a people need to review and return to them

Well said, Keith.
We grew up in a time when things were important and personally important because we all felt we were important. In my view, the politicians today treats the average joe like crap and only uses him/her to remain in power. What is lacking in the White House is a farmer, one who feeds his/her people and cares for the land that provides life to his/her families and the families of all Americans. I might have this wrong, but doesn’t it say in the Bible not to export your knowledge to foreign lands for one day it will be confiscated and even used against you. Not sure where it is in the Bible, but it does say something like that. Having lived out of the States now for over 20 years and seen the “frighten eyes” of Americans at the airports, whatever secret plan the powers have for the US citizen, well it must be working. Having been in the military I found myself being better than the public person and would fire upon them if necessary, but I was slowly being brainwashed. That was not right and I left the military thinking so. The gov. employee can and will turn against its own people because they are secretly being programmed slowly how bad the private citizen is to the US security. All bulls… if you ask me, but I’ve experienced it while I was serving during the Vietnam War.

OK, I’m rambling a bit here so bear with me a bit. Our recent discussions has raised a lot of thoughts within me.
Pete, that’s an interesting point – the frightened eyes of Americans. Fear is a very effective weapon and one of the first things deployed against a society. In one respect of the word, our politicians are participating in political terrorism with the different stunts that they are pulling .
To fundamentally transform the United States would pose this question – What would the world look like with no United States as we know it?
The very thought of that causes much anxiety among the people, AM talk radio at times deepens that angst. However, there is one thing that is being underestimated about the people of the USA. There is a resolve within the heart and soul of the Americans that we have to be free and we will fight to the death to remain that way. How many Americans have died in wars to keep our nation free over the years?
What is happening is a ploy that is similar to killing a frog in water. If you throw him in really hot water, he will jump out. If the water is slowly heated, the frog will die because he couldn’t detect the slow increase of temperature.
Whatever or whomever is pulling the strings in this nation is overlooking the resolve that the American people possess. It might surprise them when the Americans true colors begin to show.
To shift gears a bit, has anyone read or seen The Harbinger with Rabbi Jonathan Cahn? He explains a prophecy in the Bible as it has been perfectly fulfilled by the USA in recent years and further explains how this will affect the USA if we remain on the current path. Did you know that there was a group of men that gathered in New York for prayer to dedicate this nation as a Christian nation? Interesting that they gathered where the Twin Towers once stood. Further Interesting the Bible spoke of a sycamore tree in the harbinger and hmmm, there is a sycamore tree that survived the 9/11 attack. Can’t remember for certain but the sycamore is a symbol that pertains to the harbinger.
Here is a shortened version of the teaching by Rabbi that you might find interesting

Keith, I was in the States 5 and half years ago to bring the daughter to school there and the first thing I truly noticed was the fright in the American eyes at the International airports, not one, but the 2 I flew into. The foreigners had no fear or fright in their eyes. I found that to be very strange. I’ll check out the book that you mentioned, but right now I got jogging on my mind. LOL
Been raining this morning, hope it clears up.
I’ve always said that when China gains its freedom, America will loose it. For the wealthy, Chinese can do even more than the Americans can these days like enjoy the beautiful Cuban beaches and for the most part travel anywhere in the world including America.

I agree with all of you guys.
1) Our nation is divided, another thing our founding father George Washington talked about. I believe he was talking about the EXACT situation we are in today with the Dems and Republicans. But, it’s too late, and the only thing we can do is to unite fight back against those who are trying to take away our GOD GIVEN freedoms, and now use drones to blow us up.2) I wasn’t around in the days when there were no shootings in schools and Bible readings on the PA systems. But I sure wish I was. And I think we should try and return to that nation, if nothing else for our next generation.
3) “America, Love it or Leave it.” That’s great. Especially now, when so many people just want to sit on the couch and get paid by the gov. But guess what, the gov. doesn’t have any money. Except ours, that is. And we are paying to keep these people on welfare, while we can’t even pay our incredibly high taxes, and they turn our cities into Mexico cities. Complete with drugs and murder.
4) The Bible does say something to the effect of not exporting our info to foreign nations. If I’m not mistaken, you are referring to the time Hezekiah showed his treasuries to, I believe, the Babylonians. God then pronounced death for Hezekiah, but God later granted him another 15 years to his life, after Hezekiah prayed and asked Him. On this subject, I don’t know why we are giving money to nations like Egypt when were bankrupt, unless our pres. is Muslim, because all these nations just want to blow Big Satan and Little Satan (America and Israel) up.

Just a side note about the mindset of the Muslim terrorists we fight today. They, being radical Shiite Muslims, believe that if they blow themselves up trying to blow us up, they will immediately be in the presence of Allah and 70 virgins. This is why they defy death like they do. But Washington and Langley don’t understand evil. Maybe because they are. Washington, anyway. Joel Rosenberg is one of my favorite authors, and I recommend his books to anyone who is interested in the Middle East and the end times talked about in the Bible. There were many prophecies in the Bible that are already fulfilled, and twice as many yet to be fulfilled. We can be incredibly sure that Christ is coming back again, and that all the horrors talked about in the Bible will take place. Rosenberg talks a lot about the end times in his books and novels. His novels are all based on Biblical prophecy, and reveal possible scenarios of the Biblical prophecies in a gripping way. Luckily, all Christ’s followers will be raptured before many of the more horrible horrors take place. PM me if you want to find out more about following Christ or Joel Rosenberg.

In the Bible, it doesn’t mention the US a whole lot in the end times. I’m hoping that the US will experience a great revival, then the rapture will take place. If millions of American citizens and soldiers were raptured, we may not be such a world power, will we? That may lead to Armageddon. But, if this happens, most of America will be in perfect peace, with our Lord, Jesus Christ. Amen.
