I’m on the front range. Love guitars, amps, pedals…and learning. Engineer/Scientist by day. Anyone else doing active melody at altitude? 🙂

Hey Dave, I’m at about the same elevation but on the other side of the Rockies in Salt Lake City. I see we have several things in common, I’m also an engineer (electrical), but I’m now retired. I love bluegrass and blues music, Tony Rice and Warren Haynes are right up my alley. I’ve been an Active Melody member since 2018. Welcome to the site. Your recent post of the drop D tune on the forum was great, can’t wait to hear more.

BTW,I have daughter and granddaughter living in Thornton, CO, are you anywhere near there?

Hi Dave, I’m not in Colorado, but I wish I was. I’ve vacationed in Estes Park twice, and it was like paradise to me. Love everything about Colorado. My background is Electronics Engineering, but I’m happily retired now.

            Good luck with the geetar.

Nice to meet you! I sometimes get over to SLC since I have some friends in that area. I’m south of Denver so about 45min south of Thornton. Let me know if you ever come this direction and we can have a guitar hangout.

Guitar hangout sounds great, let me know if you find yourself in SLC with a few hours to kill, i would love to do some jamming and pick your brain on tone setups and recording techniques.

I’m an electrical engineer too! Must be the kind of engineers that like guitar 😉
