The lick I like is the one at about 18s in. It’s the F#7 to Bm to E7 which is the VI II V run in EP635.
I wrote this little song this week for my 2 grandkids (age 1 and 2 around a similar chord progression. Koro is a Māori name for grandpa but any pet name your grandkids have for you will work too! 😂

I made the grade to Grandpa for the first time yesterday afternoon so your little song makes me feel very emotional. You have a lovely voice and the lyrics, the melody and arrangement are perfect for the occasion. I hope one day soon I can make my granddaughter as proud of me as yours must be of you.

Well, shades of Jack Johnson – were you thinking of him when you wrote this? Nice one Brian!

That’s a great song you made Cloughie. It puts a wide smile on my face.
Go slow and practice correct technique, and your abilities will dramatically improve.

Thanks Michael and I’m glad. There’s so much wonderful moody sad music out there but it’s nice to do a happy little tune every now & then.

What an absolute charmer – I bet everyone smiles when they play this. What a great composition – sung beautifully and with a great sentiment in the lyrics. I think this is your best ever – you should sing more often.

Besides a great guitar player you’ve got a really nice voice too. Very cool song.

What a great upbeat song, they’re going to love that. It’s got that Toy Story’s “You’ve got a friend” feel good vibe.

You’re quite a skilled songwriter, Koro Brian! The lyrics were delightful and fit the happy ragtime-style storytelling so well, I bet your Grandkids will cherish this gift forever!
