Learn to play blues guitar.

I have been working on a few of these bottleneck blues standards in open G . My main objective here was to control the noise with muting techniques. Its very difficult to do. This is played on my Gretsch Alligator (biscuit bridge and cone) which is different from the spider cone (which is more blue grassy sounding). The biscuit bridge gives off a louder, more in your face banjo/bark (ish) sound. It is characteristic of the old National Resophonic guitars of the late 1920’s and 1930s.
Nice slide work John. I think your getting the hang of it.
Root note patterns >>> CAGED shapes >>> TRIAD'S. Just put in the work and watch your guitar skills soar.
Always great to hear some slide playing John and this is no exception. Inspiring stuff. All the best! 😎🎸😎
Great song, great performance.
