Hey Philippe, I’m thinking slide guitar is like a whole different instrument. There are a variety of tuning options which can be used, depending on the song of choice. So what do you do – leave one of your guitars in open tuning, or just retune them each time you feel like playing a bit of slide? Now days Justin Johnston plays almost nothing without his slide. If you search Google for “Justin Johnstone slide guitar tutorials” you will see several Youtube tutorials by Justin. Including one on how to play slide guitar in standard tuning.
