Beatles Cover – Another Girl

Today, another track from the Fab Four. “Another Girl,” written in 1965 by Paul McCartney, was released on the album Help! and featured in the film of the same name.

Unlike in the film, the Beatles recorded the song in the studio with an unusual arrangement of swapped instruments and
parts:
George played rhythm on John’s acoustic Gibson, Paul played bass as usual but also handled the short solo passages as overdubs on a Epiphone Casino, and John played rhythm on a Fender Strat.

I tried to recreate that a bit.

The chords are pretty simple, but nailing the groove exactly and getting the timing right for all the little licks was definitely a challenge.

Yes the chords may be simple but you are right – the groove for these songs are never quite as easy to nail. You’ve definitely achieved that here.
