Here is an old “hook” I came up with in 2019 as part of an intro for EP 251. The hook is the first 6 notes.
Thanks,
Larry

Hi Larry, yes, that repetitive figure of notes give this some distinct personality. Great idea.

That was a good one Larry and I see the potential variations on the basic call.
Go slow and practice correct technique, and your abilities will dramatically improve.

Way to shred, Larry! I count that as a first class hook. And you own it.

Larry, when did you start infusing your blues with jazz influence? Love that tremolo action at 24 sec.

That’s a very catchy motif and drew me in straight away. Gave it that instrumental guitar song vibe you hear from the likes of Robben ford and his peers. Very cool sound.

The kind of the hook, that can be repeated through a whole song and never get boring, Larry. Sometimes six notes can be very powerful.

A very nice hook Larry, it fits very well also when the chord change with jus small variation on the last chord! Great idea, very catchy and brilliantly played!

A great example of how far 6 notes can get ya. You turned that hook into a catchy Blues Rock composition. And man, this is some of the best tremolo in action that I have ever heard!

Just 6 notes to make a catchy hook and with some small variations. I was left wanting more, so I am off to watch your complete video which you posted above.

I remember that lesson , your hook set it up nicely with the sliding chords ,those simple nuances is all that is needed to catch the ear.
