Hi Fellow Am’ers,
I followed the brief for under 30 secs, although the hook has a repetitive sound throughout. A very different challenge this month with less effort. The next stage will be interesting, …. sounds toward country/mystery maybe? I have increased the volume setting to 100% as requested so I hope I have got it right.

Dark, mysterious and full of trepidation. I’m looking forward to the next verse(s) Laurel.

You had me hooked, Laurel, I definitely wanted to hear what came next. It could go in so many directions. The tambourine was a great touch and more cowbell, please.
Cool video I would add.
You seem to have hit on the idea that the hook can partly be about the rhythmic interplay of the instruments and the reverb drenched tone.
Loved it.

What an interesting and mysterious beginning to a song, Laurel! Now I’m disappointed it’s only 30 seconds long. I want to know what comes next!

This could be used on Apple TV’s Severance show Laurel! Very nice.

Ooooh the mystery that conjures up. Gives me goosebumps just listening. I can hear a dark, ambient song in gestation there.
I think Joe’s observation about Severance is spot on. Quite literally awesome 👍 -

Now that was totally different, Laurel, but so good! Reminds me of songs from the 60s or 70s. What would come next, i ask. You keep in suspense. Will you follow up with a whole song?

You might be getting a call from Quentin Tarantino soon. Very unique.
Go slow and practice correct technique, and your abilities will dramatically improve.

Nicely crafted, Laurel. Nice intro for the theme song of a famous British crime drama series.

That was cool Laurel. A bit unsettling, like it could be the intro theme to a crime show. Almost like Better Call Saul.

Haunting and mysterious hook Laurel. It could be perfect as a backing track for a psychological thriller TV series.
