Hi AM friends, for this month’s challenge, it wasn’t easy to imagine and create a video that was only 30 seconds long… I hope I interpreted Brian’s brief well. I created rock-style hooks, specifically ZZ Top-style, and then, over a short backing track, I started with the most classic of electric guitar licks, which I used as a pickup line. Then, in the middle of the short solo, I repeated it several times, finally finishing at the 30-second limit. In fact, if we remove the first 10 seconds of the video presentation, I think I managed to do everything within Brian’s time limit. I can’t wait to hear your ideas. Best wishes to you all. Raffaele

That first 30 sec part sounded really good. I like it. The rest of it sounded a bit like a solo part. Great sound to it all Raffaele.
Go slow and practice correct technique, and your abilities will dramatically improve.

Hi Raffaele, love the rock style of this one. Well done! Great energy and drive, and a recognizable idea hang on to.

Nice job Raffaele. As you say, very much in the style of ZZ Top. Your recording and mixing was spot on also.

Loved your opening lick, Raffaele – I expected you to return to this as the hook; certainly a ZZ Top feel, and you had the tone to match. – Mark 👍🎶😎

Rocking riffs! The turnaround at the end surprised me somehow, but was very catchy and clever. Well done!

Nicely performed Raffaelle
Great flurry of notes towards the end. Your hook is noticeable and memorable. I do like how you blended rhythm and lead to embellish you hook. Well done.John

That catchy rock rhythm was the perfect vehicle for the ripping solo. Cool, Raffaele🤪.
I need to recreate the rhythm part. If you wanted to teach the rhythm in the “Members Teaching Members” section I’ d be only too happy to be your student.

Oh yes, I enjoyed that. Definitely hooky and memorable, a real foot tapper too.

Awesome Raff, The lead and the rhythm for me are both part of the hook.
Nicely done.AndréM

Yeah! That has the Billy G vibe. I could imagine the famous roadster cruising down the highway as those opening licks got laid down.

Great! Now all you have to do is grow a beard, Raffaele, and it’ll be perfect. A ZZ Top riff that fits so good, great playing and sound!

Enjoyed very much your ZZ’s style piece of music, Raffale, so well crafted and brilliantly played! I think there are at least a couple of memorable hooks in there, just at the beginning and immediately afterwards. The whole composition is very enjoyable to listen to!
